Expanding her already popular family style Friday dining program, chef Rachel Klein is adding an additional classroom twist to the dining room at Aura. Not only will the kid-centric menu and more adult friendly $30 prix menu still be available but, on select Fridays this summer, chef Klein will invite a few special guests to keep the kids entertained while the parents sit back and enjoy a quiet meal. On July 17th, children’s book author and illustrator Mary Newell dePalma will lead the kids in an activity while sharing parts of her book, Grand Old Tree. July 31st brings animals and a few of their handlers from Zoo New England to share some interesting fauna facts, and on August 14th, Klein herself will guide the children through a tour of her own herb garden on the terrace of the Seaport Hotel, teaching them how to pot their own herbs.
