Brine & Bubbles Patio Party


Head to Forage on Sunday, June 19th for an educational, oyster- and bubbly-filled patio party – owner Stan Hilbert, chef-owner Eric Cooper and the whole crew at the beloved Harvard Square-adjacent spot will be welcoming guests with freshly shucked bivalves, sparkling wine and a slew of tasty a la carte snacks. The fun starts at 2:30pm with an informative shellfish sesh with Forage’s own Oyster Aficionado Carole Ferolito, who’ll teach you shucking techniques and talk a bit about different oyster varieties. Next, at 4:00pm, Teague Mitchell —their Wino In-Residence — will open up some special bottles and discuss the science, marketing and history of sparkling wine. Tickets for the patio party are $20, and each class is optional for an additional $20 (each). You can reserve your spot here to enjoy an afternoon of al fresco cork popping and snacking on inventive plates like Stuffed Roasted Clam with kimchi, Diver Scallop Ceviche with strawberries and strawberry vin, and Oyster Ice Cream with candied seaweed (a full menu is below). The event runs until they are out of oysters, or bubbles, or both!
