Sofra welcomes award-winning pastry chef and cookbook author Stella Parks, to drop by for a dessert tasting/cookbook signing party on Sunday, October 29th. Known for her meticulous recipe testing and celebration of iconic childhood favorites (from Pop Tarts and Oreos to Nutter Butters and Crunch Bars), Parks has put some of her best-loved efforts into her latest book, Bravetart: Iconic American Desserts. Starting at 7:00pm, she’ll be joining Sofra’s own Maura Kilpatrick (no slouch in the pastry department, herself – she’s been up for a James Beard award ten times) to whip up a few sweets like carrot cake, pumpkin pie and spiced grahams. Tickets for the event, which runs from 7:00-9:00pm, are going for $65 each ($85 with a cookbook, which you can then get signed).
