Boston Wine Festival Châteauneuf-du-Pape

On Friday, February 25th, Alain Junguenet, founder and president of Wines from France, Inc., will explain the wines of the largest and most highly regarded appellation of the Rhône Valley, which dates back to the 14th century. Châteauneuf-du-Pape means “new castle of the Popes.” This region was a wine-growing outpost for the Catholic hierarchy when they were in Avignon. This event will feature both the spicy, earthy reds and complex white wines made from 13 varietals. The seminar starts at 6:30pm in The Atlantic Room followed by dinner at 8:00pm also in The Atlantic Room. The seminar and dinner cost $235. Dinner only costs $185.
