It’s July in Boston, and in the publishing world that means one thing: Boston magazine’s Best of Boston® issue comes out. Readers look forward to the special issue every year, but this one’s extra notable because it’s the publication’s 45th anniversary. To honor the occasion, they’re throwing their annual party on Tuesday, July 17th with the top tastemakers, chefs and entertainers from around the city.
From 6:00 through 10:00pm at City Hall Plaza, past Best of Boston® winners will provide all-you-can-eat dishes (complimentary, of course), so keep your eye out for Area Four, Alden & Harlow, Bar Mezzana, Café du Pays, Eventide Fenway, Grill 23, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Moona, Mooncusser Fish House, North Square Oyster, Row 34, SRV, Terra, The Smoke Shop BBQ, The Table at Season to Taste, Tiger Mama and UNI, among others. To round out the evening, there’ll be lawn games, music from a mix of DJs and custom cocktails alongside cold beer and chilled wine served in the space’s sleek lounge. Tickets are $145 per person (plus a small processing fee), and a portion of proceeds go towards The Emerald Necklace Conservancy, a nonprofit that maintains, restores & protects 1,100 acres of parkland around the Boston area.
