Outside the Box, Boston’s first annual complimentary performing arts festival, is going gourmet with a culinary counterpart, Boston Food Fest. From Thursday, July 18th to Sunday, July 21st, City Hall Plaza will be filled with chefs like Ming Tsai (Blue Ginger and Blue Dragon), Lydia Shire (Scampo and Towne), Roger Berkowitz (Legal Sea Foods), Todd English, Steve DiFillippis (Davio’s), Jason Santos (Blue Inc. and Abby Lane), Jeremy Sewall (Lineage, Island Creek Oyster Bar and Eastern Standard), Gordon Hamersley (Hamersley’s Bistro), Andy Husbands (Tremont 647), Michael Schlow (Via Matta, The Sinclair, Tico and Alta Strada) and Jody Adams (Rialto and Trade) showcasing their delicious cuisine. Entrance to the fest is free and you can purchase $1 tickets (sold in increments of 5) to sample the various delectable edibles (priced from one to five tickets each as determined by the chef). In case you get thirsty, there will also a beer and wine emporium to pair with the bites. All tickets are sold inside the festival, so just show up sometime between 11:00am and 9:00pm Thursday through Saturday or 11:00am and 5:00pm on Sunday and start eating.
