Boston Calling’s Culinary Lineup

Boston Calling

Boston Calling is back in full swing this year, bringing world-class music right to your doorstep over another beautiful, perfectly sunny, definitely rain-free Memorial Day Weekend. And while everyone’s been stoked about the headliners for awhile (Avril: *swoon*), the newly announced culinary lineup is worth getting excited about.

The city is prepped to put on a great show this year, with returning fan favorites cooking alongside an impressive roster of new acts to keep you singing along all weekend. Tasty Burger and Roxy’s Grilled Cheese will be holding down the flat-top, and Mamaleh’s Delicatessen and Suasday Sandwich Co. (a new Cambodian spot from the Love Art Sushi team) are both new on the scene rounding out the sando selection. Healthier options abound with sushi from Mr. Tuna and rice and salad bowls from High Street Place’s Farmacy Café, and not-quite-as-health-but-worth-it options will be right next door from Top Shelf Cookie. In the comfort food department, look no further than buttermilk fried chicken from Walloons, or take on The Smoke Shop’s Ultimate BBQ Cone, a portable feast featuring barbecue burnt ends, pimento mac & cheese, pit beans, and slaw.

All that singing along is sure to leave you thirsty, and the beverage offerings are no less impressive this year. Sam Adams will be on the scene with all your favorite summer suds, as well as macro offerings from Miller. Ice-cold Truly will be available for the seltzer set, and 90+ Cellars will help you rosé all day (or pinot grigio if you’re not into rhyming). There will be free water stations, too, which sounds important.

For fancy pants music fans who feel like going Platinum, there are expanded food and drink options available with your VIP tickets. Just like the bands, every day will feature headlining local chefs slinging their specialties from across the city. Chef Colin Lynch of Bar Mezzana, Chris Coombs and Adrienne Wright of Deuxave and Boston Chops, Cory Seeker from Lolita, and Miguel Deras of Mariel make for an impressive lineup on the same stage, and you won’t even need a reservation. VIP guests will also enjoy drinking perks, with an expanded wine list and cocktails from Jack Daniels and Thomas Tew Rum.

And that’s not even the whole list! Snag your tickets and scope the full food and drinks roster on the Boston Calling website and get ready for a weekend full of food and drink – oh, and music.
