Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer

Bakes for Breast Cancer

Save room for dessert – all the desserts – the twenty-first annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer is under way. From Monday, October 19th through Sunday, October 25th sweets-makers, bakers and pastry chefs at more than 200 area restaurants, cafes, bake shops and patisseries will be raising funds for breast cancer research – and all you have to do to lend a hand is eat some sweets!

Participating spots will be highlighting a particular dessert on their list (or, in some cases, the whole menu) and donating a portion of the proceeds to fund clinical trials at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. So you can, say, head to Buttercup in Natick for Bread Pudding with Four Roses bourbon caramel and vanilla ice cream or pop over to Henrietta’s Table in Harvard Square for Sugar Pumpkin Cheesecake with fresh whipped cream, raspberries & candied pumpkin seeds. You can swing by Sofra for Jennifer’s Strawberry Tarts or wrap up your meal at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille with the Spiced Layer Cake which includes two layers of vanilla bean cremeux, tart cranberry-cherry sorbet, buttery apple compote, and crisp chai meringues. It’s all for a good cause.

Peruse the complete list of participating venues on the Boston Bakes website to start mapping out all the ways you can do your delicious little part.
