Boston Baby Book Signing at Aura

Local writer Kim Foley MacKinnon makes Boston as kid-friendly as can be in Boston Baby: A Field Guide for Urban Parents. She’s pulled together 176 pages worth of wisdom – tips on how to get through the stir-crazy-making, cold days of winter as well as where to go to cool off during the summer. She’s even compiled a list of the best places to take the youngsters for dinner. See exactly what she’s talking about – the proof is in the pudding, after all – on Friday, March 5th at a special edition of the monthly Fine Dining Family-Style at Aura, which she refers to as “the perfect double date for two families with kids”. Executive chef Rachel Klein will be serving a three-course menu designed for adults as well as some a la carte offerings perfect for younger palates. Children can run wild in the restaurant’s playspace or enjoy arts and crafts projects with the folks from ArtBeat. When it’s all said and done, families will leave with full bellies and armfuls of ready-for-bed kiddies. They’ll also get a copy of the book and a great goodie bag. The unique event, which runs from 5:30-8:00pm, costs $40 per adult. Reservations are available at 617.385.4300.
