A sharp knife is the key to good (and effective) cooking, but where do you start in your search for the best kitchen equipment? Thankfully, the folks at Alden & Harlow have your back, and they’re welcoming Josh Donald of San Francisco’s Bernal Cutlery to Harvard Square on Wednesday, October 17th for a pop-up knife demo, book signing and all around awesome industry night with plenty of things to eat and drink.
Bring your fellow hospitality friends to the Brattle Street spot beginning at 10:00pm for snacks from Michael Scelfo’s kitchen crew, cheese thanks to Formaggio Kitchen and drink specials courtesy of Privateer Rum & Buffalo Trace. Donald and his team at Bernal Cutlery will start sharpening and sharing their expertise in Japanese Whetstone knife grinding technique around 11:00pm. Tickets are $10 (or $30 if you’d like to add a signed copy of Donald’s newly-released book, Sharp), and you can claim your spot by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
