Bastille Day – C’est Magnifique! In the Square

There’ll be all manner of French-influenced entertainment – and soccer! – at Harvard Square’s annual Bastille Day celebration, scheduled for Sunday, July 13th. The festivities, which start at 3:00pm with an outdoor screening of the final World Cup game, will continue throughout the afternoon and evening (until about 10:00pm) with food and drink, music and dancing. Chef Raymond Ost of Sandrine’s, who originally hails from Alsace, is in charge of the day’s edibles, which include offerings from the kitchens of Beat Hotel, The Sinclair, Elephant Walk, La Voile, O Sushi and Paris Creperie, for starters; Park Restaurant & Bar will be hosting a beer garden; and there will be music by funk outfit Billy Wine, The Dan Searl Band and French techno DJ Kamal from The Boston French Party. Swing by to catch the game, snack on French delicacies, groove to the hippest music, relax with a cold beer while celebrating France in Harvard Square.
