If it wasn’t for white oak barrels we’d never know the wonders of whiskey and bourbon, and you can learn all about how they work with a Barrel Aged Cocktail Class at Rail Stop Restaurant & Bar on Tuesday, September 17th. A master blender from High West Whiskey will be stopping by the Brighton bar and grill at 6:00pm to help you craft a cocktail to your liking using their premium spirits, house-made syrups and artisanal bitters, then you’ll pour the whole concoction into a mini oak barrel and let it age for six weeks. On Tuesday, November 5th, head back to Boston Landing to taste your matured masterpiece — it’s like two cocktail classes in one, all for $75 per person. Go on and snag spots here, and make sure to bring proper ID to both visits. If you have any Qs give them a call at 617.254.0044, and check out their current barrel-aged cocktail list here for a little creative inspiration before class starts.
