Hoping for good luck and prosperity this year? Head to Bar Boulud to take part in an annual tradition and break bread with your loved ones over symbolic dishes. Fans of family-style dining can book a spot at the Happiness Reunion Dinner, which includes Prosperity Soup; deshelled lobster with ginger scallion over longevity noodles; squirrel fish with seasonal fruit; and sirloin steak with mashed Chinese broccoli, Szechuan peppercorn sauce and fried rice. Dinner is priced at $1,288 for 10 guests (tax and gratuity not included).

If a plated prix fixe is more your thing, the Prosperity Reunion Dinner might strike your fancy. Feast on pumpkin purèe with abalone, sea cucumber and fish maw; suckling pig bao with cucumber, scallion and scratch hoisin sauce; and filet mignon with red date demi-glace, warm vegetable salad and fried rice. It’s $1,688 for 10 guests (tax and gratuity not included).
