Bambara’s Backyard is Back

Bambara

The good times are back at Cambridge’s Kimpton Marlowe hotel for another season of outdoor food and fun at Bambara’s Backyard. Inspired by the vibe of neighbors gathering ’round the picnic table, the crew of Bambara has transformed the hotel’s courtyard, tucked in next to the Charles River Canal, into a chic summertime escape complete with an outdoor bar, umbrella-ed patio tables and lounge seating — all centered around the hotel’s 25-foot rotating steampunk sculpture.

But the “backyard” is more than just a classy patio – Executive Chef Adam Resnick has a special cookout-style summer menu planned, which is filled with fresh salads, house-made pastas and grilled seafood in addition to some of Bambara’s much-loved standards like their dry-aged burgers. Between courses you can hit the bocce court or challenge your crew to some Connect 4, Tumbling Timbers and Cornhole, plus there will be lots of live entertainment throughout the summer and fall, including monthly drag brunches, nightly outdoor movies, and local musicians.

There will be plenty of Fever Tree highballs on hand, and the Lillet spritz cart makes a triumphant return to help you beat the city heat — plus if you feel like an extra cocktail or two, spend the night at the hotel using the Good Neighbor Rate, which offers guests a 20% discount on the hotel’s best available rates through the summer. Use Corporate ID 100216752 when booking a room. Bambara’s Backyard is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:00-9:00pm until September.
