Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer 2021

Bakes for Breast Cancer

The city’s best sweets-makers are rolling, baking and brûléeing for the 22nd annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer. From Friday, October 1st through Thursday, October 7th pastry professionals at more than 120 cafes, bake shops, patisseries and restaurants around the Greater Boston area are raising funds for breast cancer research — and all you have to do is get your sweet-toothed friends, grab a spoon and dig in!

Participating eateries are donating proceeds from a designated dessert on the menu (in some cases, the whole menu) to help fund clinical trials at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Pop into Cafe Beatrice at The Lexington for their brown sugar cookie sandwich with freeze dried strawberries and filled with strawberry buttercream, or head to The Dial for their pumpkin tres leches cake. If you’re heading to Salem for the season, pop into Beverly and get some goodies at FRANK along with their chocolate cake truffles and walnut espresso ice cream sandwich with spiced milk jam and toffee. Don’t miss out on pastry chef Valerie Nin’s creme brûlée with strawberry white chocolate popcorn at Grill 23 & Bar, Mooo…’s decadent Valrhona chocolate cake or chocolate bread pudding with caramelized rum bananas from Henrietta’s Table. Get some goodies for friends and family from Flour Bakery + Cafe and Mamaleh’s Delicatessen — because it’s all for a good cause.

Find all the desserts closest to you on the Boston Bakes website to start planning all the ways you can help out and take a delicious little part in this event.
