Chef Scott Herritt invites food lovers and art lovers to join him at Beacon Hill’s Grotto for any of a series of monthly wine dinners featuring up-and-comers in the local artistic community. The artists, whose work will be displayed at the restaurant during the dinners, will have a chance to talk about the pieces over a glass of wine and guests will have an opportunity to ask questions, discover new talent and acquire some great art. Guests will also have a chance to enjoy a three-course meal for a mere $34 per person. Grotto kicks off the series on Wednesday, August 18th, with North End artist Tony Calandra, whose work has received local and national recognition (also of “Average Joe” fame). The evening gets underway at 7:00pm and dinner will be straight off Grotto’s Tuscan-inspired August menu. The event costs $34 per person and reservations are recommended, so call 617.227.3434 to make yours.
