The folks from Food for Free, an organization that seeks to bridge the gap between waste and want, want you to come out on Friday, October 15th for their annual fundraiser, Party Under the Harvest Moon. From 6:00 to 10:00pm at MIT’s Morss Hall, guests can nibble on tasty treats from a plethora of area eateries like Henrietta’s Table, Hungry Mother and UpStairs on the Square. The night will also feature live music and dancing courtesy of the Blue Suede Boppers, appearances by some local luminaries and a silent auction with donated items from such fabulous places as The Charles Hotel, Craigie on Main and The Fireplace. Tickets, which can be purchased through the event website, cost $50 ($35 for students) and $60 on the day of the event.
