Head to South Boston’s Bar Volpe on Tuesday, June 21st for buon cibo, buon vino, buon amici (good food, good wine, good friends). Chef Karen Akunowicz and Co. have paired up with the peeps at Vineyard Road wine importers in Framingham for a four-course wine dinner with hand-picked pairings from family-owned G.D. Vajra Wines. Vajra wines are produced from Bricco delle Viole, which is the highest cru in the Barolo region of Italy, and the family has been working vineyards in this part of the region since the 1600s — these bottles are not to be missed! Their rich, complex wines will be a dream match for Akunowicz’s award-winning takes on Southern Italian cuisine — including pasta from the in-house pastificio (pasta shop). Tickets for the dinner are $135 and include the wine pairings. Dinner is at 6:30pm and you can order your tickets here.
