Alba welcomes expert steak-maker David Hutton to their Quincy kitchen as their new Executive Chef. Hutton, who earned his chops at The Country Club and Mistral, before heading up the team at Mooo…. for nearly a decade, brings some serious talent and some old school classics to the menu at the South Shore steakhouse. Pop in on an upcoming Thursday night between 4:00-10:00pm to try his take on prime rib and potatoes. The culinary veteran rubs the buttery Nebraska-bred center-eye-cut prime rib with herbes de Provence before roasting it at a high temp to seal in flavor, and then slow-cooking it to a so-tender-you-don’t-need-a-steak-knife finish. Hutton serves his masterpiece with browned Duchess potatoes and a piping hot traditional New England popover. “I’ve been cooking prime rib for 20 years and think we finally perfected it,” says Hutton. Now it’s up to you to decide.
