Independence Day Degustation

LEspalier Facebook

L’Espalier is changing its stripes (to the red and white variety) in honor of Independence Day. The Back Bay restaurant forsakes its French-leaning ways for the weekend, offering an all-American degustation menu paired with their favorite American wines. From Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th you can sit down to five courses of made-in-the-USA goodies like Maine lobster with Florida sweet corn and morels; and grass-fed sirloin of beef with confit fresh dug potatoes and fava beans. There’s even an American cheese (not that kind of American cheese) course to wrap it all up. The menu costs $115 per person, and here’s a word to the especially patriotic: you can see the fireworks from the restaurant’s Boylston Street windows. Call 617.262.3023 for a table.
