Curious what it looks like when local media personalities, celebrities, politicians and other community leaders get up on stage together and perform a series of skits? Grab your tickets to the 26th Annual Banned in Boston event on Friday, May 3rd to see one of the most hilarious shows of the year. The evening is a fundraiser for Rehearsal for Life — an organization working to empower Boston’s youth through the magic of theater — and their Urban Improv program. Beginning at 6:00pm, there’ll be a cocktail reception and chefs tasting at Lansdowne Pub with bites from places like Eastern Standard, Eventide Fenway, The James Pub & Provisions, Pammy’s, The Smoke Shop and more. Get to the House of Blues, which is just next door, by 7:45pm for the comedy show hosted by WGBH’s Margery Eagan & Jim Braude. Tickets are $250 per person, which gets you into the pre-show tasting and saves you a balcony seat for the main event — get yours here.
