Join the fight against hunger – and more than fifty of the city’s most talented chefs – on Thursday, April 18th at Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation. The annual fundraiser, which has raised $1.4 million in Boston alone since it started in 1988, heads for the Cruiseport Boston at Black Falcon Pier this time around, so plan on being down by the South Boston waterfront by 7:00pm (6:00pm if you’re a VIP). And plan on being hungry (and maybe wearing loose-fitting pants); there’ll be eats from more restaurants than you’ll know what to do with, including 80 Thoreau, AKA Bistro, Area Four, Bergamot, Bistro du Midi, Blue Ginger, Blue Inc., Brassiere Jo, Cinquecento, Coppa, Craigie on Main, Davio’s, Eastern Standard, Hamersley’s Bistro, Harvest, Legal Harborside, L’Espalier, Lincoln, Lucca Back Bay, Masa, Poe’s Kitchen, Rialto, Sandrine’s Bistro, Taranta, Tavolo, Toro, TRADE, Tremont 647 and West Bridge. Tickets, available online, cost $95 in advance ($105 at the door) or $150 in advance ($160 at the door) for the VIP variety. Proceeds will help kids get the healthy food they need every day.
