The Friends of Boston’s Homeless, whose efforts help the homeless move beyond shelter to lead independent lives in the community, host the 20th annual Beyond Shelter Event at the State Room on Thursday, April 26th. The chef-studded get together, which runs from 6:00-11:00pm, features nibbles from spots like Ashmont Grill, Azure, Flour Bakery + Café, Gargoyles, Hamersley’s, Icarus and Union Bar and Grille, among others. Also on the agenda for the evening – live tunes courtesy of Kendrick Oliver and the New Life Jazz Orchestra, an auction and great raffle prizes. Tickets are $100 each.
