2009 Rising Star Revue Tasting Gala

See what happens when you put some of the city’s most talented up-and-coming chefs in one room at the StarChefs Rising Stars Revue. Following in the footsteps of local chefs like Ana Sortun, Marc Orfaly and Tony Maws, this year’s honorees include Jamie Bissonnette of Toro, Chris Chung of Uni, Will Gilson of Garden at the Cellar, Andres Grundy of Clio, Mike Pagliarini of Via Matta, Chris Parsons of Catch, Rachel Klein of Aura, Jiho Kim of L’Espalier, and Jodi Bernhard of Longwood Events. Chef Louis DiBiccari of Sel de la Terre gets a nod for Community Award; Rich Garcia of Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro goes home with the Sustainability Award; Joanne Chang of Flour and Myers + Chang takes the Restaurateur Award; and Maura Kilpatrick of Sofra wins the Restaurant Concept Award. In the drinks department Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli of Craigie on Main took top honors as this year’s Rising Star Mixoligist while Theresa Paopao of Oleana was named this year’s Rising Star Sommelier. Celebrate their success on Tuesday, November 3rd at the tasting gala and awards ceremony at the State Room. Each of the aforementioned chefs will be showcasing their award-winning fare paired with ultra-premium wines. Tickets cost $85 per person or $125 per very important person.
