It’s down to the home stretch – just a week or so left – for this year’s Pie in the Sky, Community Servings‘ annual fundraiser. This year they’ve roped in about every chef in the city with a rolling pin and an oven into baking pies upon pies in seasonally appropriate flavors like apple, pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato and even diabetic apple. So, you may get a pie baked by the team at The Blue Room or Union Bar and Grille, or one straight from the kitchens of EVOO or Prezza – the list of generous chefs who are donating their time and baking skills to the cause is long (and can viewed here). Place your order before Saturday, November 21st and your pie will be ready for pick up (at one of 45 designated pie pick up locations) on Wednesday, November 25th. Proceeds from each $25 pie help Community Servings provide healthy, home-delivered meals for individuals homebound with acute life-threatening illnesses.
