City Table serves nearly every meal they’ve come up with a name for, and their various menus strike a balance between simple offerings and chef-driven cuisine. To start the day, you’ll find everything from light fare to hearty meals, from breakfast cereals to Benedicts. A Small-Bites menu helps stave off hunger with shareable appetizers and globally-inspired tapas, and dinner time finds ingredients from all over the map presented in both familiar and foreign preparations. There’s traditional brunch on the weekends, a gluten free menu, and an assortment of snacks, sandwiches, and satisfying entrees offered into the wee hours for night owls feeling peckish.

Enter through the Lenox lobby and you’ll find a small dining room with high ceilings and oversized windows looking out over Back Bay. The space is simply appointed, with deep blue curtains adding richness to the the walls and candlelit tables creating a cozy atmosphere. Dark woods, leather banquettes, and warm chandeliers all contribute to a moody but unpretentious atmosphere.

The ten-seat bar is the centerpiece of the restaurant, with a stained-glass backdrop rising to the rafters and shelves laden with backlit bottles catching your eye from the lobby. The cocktail list is long, with sections for creative Martinis, Mules, Classics, Champagne Libations, and House Originals. Wines by the glass and bottle are well-rounded and approachable, including the usual suspects from both New and Old World. The modest bottled beer selection is a list of recognizable favorites from both craft and macro breweries all over.

City Table has a private dining room that can comfortably accommodate 32 guests, and the entire space can be rented out for events or cocktail parties for up to 100 guests, seated or standing.
