Simon Armen

Chef Simon Armen’s love for food began at an early age in western Massachusetts, where he grew up often gardening with his mother, and helping his father bake in the kitchen.

When he was older, he learned he could make a career of it and set himself on a path that took him into the kitchens at some of New England’s most prestigious restaurants.

On top of his culinary training, Armen has traveled across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa in search of techniques and flavors to bring to his plates.

Now the Chef de Cuisine at Sycamore in Newton, he shares his love of food and his culinary philosophy — that great food comes through hard work, positivity and attention to detail — with all his guests.
