Reynaldo Cruz is Chef de Cuisine at 465 Bar and Restaurant at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). Specializing in American fine dining, he is passionate about farm- and sea-to-table dishes and locally sourced foods. His unique techniques result in the creation of innovative, vegetable-driven plates for the ever changing, chef-inspired menu at 465.
Affectionately known by his colleagues as Rey, Cruz developed a flare for culinary arts at Boston’s Sel de la Terre, then moved on to local favorites Russell House Tavern, Radius, Tico, Lineage and Alden & Harlow.
Cruz was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and moved with his family to New York then Boston, where he grew up and currently resides. His hobbies include playing basketball, dining out in the city and traveling.
