Peter McKenzie

Peter McKenzie moved to Cambridge to work for Jody Adams at Rialto from Washington DC, where he worked with R.J. Cooper at Vidalia restaurant.

After spending a brief season on Nantucket at Straight Wharf Restaurant (where he met his future wife and pastry chef Mareena), McKenzie returned to Rialto as their Sous Chef. He then joined the team at Ribelle in Brookline where he and Mareena ran the kitchen as Chef de Cuisine and Pastry Chef.

McKenzie joined the Shepard team in early 2015 and helped to open the restaurant as its Chef de Cuisine, before landing at Tres Gatos in Jamaica Plain where he oversees all the goings on at the tapas restaurant/book and record store.
