Efe Onoglu

A native of Turkey who has cooked the world over, chef Efe Onoglu’s globe-trotting experience inspires Nahita’s international approach to fine dining.

An alum of world-famous restaurants including Zaytinya by Jose Andres and Bourbon Steak by Mina (Washington, D.C.); Ulus 29 and Chilai (Istanbul); Tasting Room at Le Quartier Francais (Franschoek); and La Colombe (Cape Town), Onoglu speaks Turkish, English, French and Spanish. At Nahita, he marries Nikkei cuisine with traditional Latin American and Turkish flavors, imbuing the menu with both his venerable experience and playful sensibility.

Passionate about teamwork and pushing his limits, Onoglu enjoys archery, scuba diving and American football when he’s not working behind the line.
