The team behind some of Southie’s beloved Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar (as well as Lincoln Tavern, Capo, Fat Baby and Hunter’s) has brought all the Baja-style fun of Loco to The Fenway. The funky, neighborhood taco spot specializes in inventive tacos, super fresh seafood and, as you might expect, plenty of tequila and mezcal.
The casual dining room features a big comfortable bar and lots of reclaimed wood, Mexican-style murals, and large windows overlooking Brookline Avenue to let in a ton of natural light. There’s plenty of space for larger groups as well as nooks and barstools that are just right for one or two people.
The menu features many of the original favorites as the Southie menu, including guacamoles, salsas and quesos to start, a rotating selection of fresh local oysters, quesadillas and salads, and of course an impressive lineup of tacos for both meat eaters and vegetarians. There are also some hearty mains for anyone looking for something Southwest that’s not a taco. The drinks menu is packed with offbeat margaritas, craft cocktails, and mezcal drinks, plus an impressive lineup of local and domestic beers and hard seltzers.
