Chef Duo at Deuxave

Forget the sports rivalry: chef Chris Coombs and NY chef JJ Johnson are teaming up in the Deuxave kitchen for a one-time fusion feast on Tuesday, May 12th. After their days together as Culinary Institute of America undergrads, Coombs landed in Boston with Deuxave, dbar and Boston Chops to his name while Johnson rose to chef de cuisine at Harlem’s Minton’s and The Cecil. The award-winning chefs have put together a collaborative seven-course menu—which includes both pre-dessert and dessert—that marries Coomb’s New England-inspired French cuisine and Johnson’s Afro-Asian-American cuisine.
