A Patriotic Tribute

Swing by The Fireplace on Saturday, April 11th for a pre-Patriots Day celebration of the lighter side of the 18th century (it wasn’t all tea-dumping and midnight rides). Join chef-owner (and real live Drum Major) Jim Solomon by the fire at 3:00pm for drinks, snacks and an appearance by Tobias Tripp, who’ll regale you with his one-man-show of fiddle tunes, pub songs, riddles, crazy of-the-era ladies’ fashions, an overview of the history of naval rum and a humorous look at Benjamin Franklin’s career. The educational and patriotic afternoon costs $25 per person. Call 617.975.1900 to reserve a front row seat.
