Extreme Wine-ing

Believe it or not, colder weather can be a good thing – in terms of wine, anyway. In the next installment of their First Wednesdays wine dinner series Puritan & Co. gives a round of applause to the Northern Italian winegrowers who overcome extreme conditions for their wares. On Wednesday, March 4th, chefs Will Gilson and Alex Saenz will present a multi-course dinner with wine pairings as a celebration of the hillside varietals that somehow withstand cool temps and high altitudes for remarkable and complex wines. The evening begins at 6:45pm and will explore vintages from Guglierame Ormeasco in Liguria, Furlani Bianco Alpino in Trentino and Diego Curtaz Torrette in Val d’Aosta. The cost for the dinner is $95 per person and you can call 617.615.6195 to make your reservation.
