It may barely be spring, but Tres Gatos, the bookstore/record store/tapas bar in Jamaica Plain, is gearing up for this summer’s Porchfest with a festive fundraiser on Monday, March 23rd. Last year Porchfest brought different musicians, poets, actors, circus performers and more together to porches, patios, decks and verandas around the neighborhood to celebrate the incredible artistic diversity that JP has to offer. Starting at 6:00pm chef Nevin Taylor will be rolling out a special menu of summery fare – barbecue, fried chicken and corn bread while the bartenders craft summer cocktails. There will also be live music performances from singer-songwriter GaBrilla Ballard, hip-hop artist Devin Ferreira and Rick Berlin. Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 at the door and the proceeds will go to Porchfest JP.
