If you’re looking to increase your culinary intelligence this year, come to Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks on Saturday, January 17th for Standard Education, a day full of higher (and tastier) learning. School is in session from 11:00am-6:00pm with five courses covering the details that make the restaurant run. You can get your hands doughy with pastry chef Lauren Kroesser’s lesson on French macarons, followed by a study of cocktail creation with beverage programs liaison Bob McCoy. Wine Director Colleen Hein will guide students nose-first through her wine aromas class and bar director Jackson Cannon will explore the delicate art of music selection. Bar manager Naomi Levy finishes the day with a seminar on punch and batchable cocktails, perfect for parties. Tickets for each class are $40 apiece and available (with full class descriptions) online.
