The James Beard Foundation has named their finalists for the 2014 Awards, which will be handed out on Monday, May 5th in NYC. Among the talented Boston area chefs who are in the running for Best Chef Northeast: Jamie Bissonnette of Coppa and Toro, Joanne Chang of Flour and Myers + Chang, Michael Leviton of Lumière, Area Four, and A4 Pizza and Barry Maiden of Hungry Mother and State Park. BL Gruppo’s Barbara Lynch is in the running for Outstanding Restaurateur for her empire which includes No. 9 Park, The Butcher Shop, B&G Oysters, Menton, Sportello, Drink and Stir.
