Big Trouble in Little Sycamore

Ramen lovers have a new Monday night destination: Sycamore. Starting on Monday, March 3rd, David Punch’s Newton spot will be launching Big Trouble in Little Sycamore, a special a la carte menu of Asian-y treats. On the inaugural menu: fiery Korean rice cakes, pork belly bao with gochujong and pickled cucumber; Taiwanese green curry mussels with boiled peanuts; and Benton’s ham musubi. Also making its Sycamore debut: Sous Chef Daniel Scott’s take on ramen, which starts with a pork-miso broth adorned with kimchee-style mustard greens, miso-marinated 5 minute egg and crispy pork confit. Reservations aren’t required – in fact they’re not accepted for Ramen Mondays – so just plan on dropping by between 9:00-11:30pm to give the menu a whirl. Call 617.244.4445 for additional info.
