Tartan Week Comes to JP

Whether you’re a Highlander in search of kin or just a big fan of plaid, get to The Haven sometime before April 6th for the restaurant’s annual Tartan Week celebration. Boston’s only Scottish spot, from its comfy little perch in Jamaica Plain, has planned a series of events (a rousing Sean Connery film festival, an extensive beer tasting, a Kilt Walk followed by an authentic Scottish brunch) that will satisfy anyone and everyone’s kilt-wearing, haggis-eating inner-Scotsman. For more information on Tartan Week, you can visit The Haven online or call them at 617.524.2836 for details.

Sean Connery Film Festival
Movies start at 9:00pm which matches up quite nicely with The Haven’s burger and a beer deal ($15 for both), which is available starting at 9:00pm, too.

Participants will all be entered into a raffle with chances to win some great prizes. And all the day’s proceeds will be donated to the Scot’s Charitable Society.

Scottish Beer Tasting
From 6:00-9:00pm on Thursday, April 3rd they’ll be pouring a trio of Scottish beers for a ten spot so you can get to know offerings from Brewdog, Williams Brothers, Orkney Brewery and Innis & Gunn. There will be bar snacks.
