Meritage Uncorked for a Cause

The wine-loving folks at the Boston Harbor Hotel are lending a hand to some of their wine-making West Coast friends affected by this summer’s earthquake. On Wednesday, October 15th, chef Daniel Bruce and his Meritage team will be serving a four-plus-course meal paired with wines from Hendry Family Vineyards. Look for dishes like pan-seared cod and tarragon cake with sweet corn and a chardonnay-saffron nage, as well as cabernet braised oxtail with cranberry beans and white pumpkin mash. Twenty percent of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Hendry and their recovery efforts; the 6.0 quake caused about 50 million dollars in damages at about 120 wineries.
