Get your fill of the melty ham and cheese deliciousness that is a croque monsieur at Bistro du Midi’s Croque Tuesday. Starting on January 22nd chef Robert Sisca will be hosting a weekly tribute, rolling out a selection of sandwiches at the bar in the restaurant’s street-level café for just $5 each. The offerings will be a little different every week which will keep things interesting for everyone, especially Sommelier Todd Lipman and his team, who’ll be pairing a craft cocktail, beer or wine each week. What’s this Camera-Shy Cooker Doing on Top Chef? - There’s no shortage of chefs on TV. But chef Dante de Magistris would just as soon be behind the line at any of the three restaurants (dante, il Casale Belmont and il Casale Lexington) he owns with his two brothers, Damian and Filippo. Although he’s declined invitations to try out to be a cheftestant, he did recently welcome the Top Chef team to his Belmont spot, which happens to be housed in a former firehouse (which may or may not be relevant to the episode).
