If it's Thursday it must be time for cask beer - at least that's the case at Russell House Tavern where they tap into a new cask beer at 5:00pm every week. Head over to the Harvard Square hot spot to take advantage of what brew enthusiasts refer to as "real ale" (due to the fact that the unfiltered and unpasteurized beer is conditioned and served from a cask without any additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure). The cask will rotate occasionally so be sure to drop by regularly to taste what's been tapped. And since you'll be there already, you'll probably want to sample something deliciously filling from - we bet someone there can suggest a proper pairing. What’s this Camera-Shy Cooker Doing on Top Chef? - There’s no shortage of chefs on TV. But chef Dante de Magistris would just as soon be behind the line at any of the three restaurants (dante, il Casale Belmont and il Casale Lexington) he owns with his two brothers, Damian and Filippo. Although he’s declined invitations to try out to be a cheftestant, he did recently welcome the Top Chef team to his Belmont spot, which happens to be housed in a former firehouse (which may or may not be relevant to the episode).
