Enjoy three full days of the best wine and food Boston has to offer at the Taste of WGBH: Food & Wine Festival from Thursday, September 13th through Saturday the 15th. The fun begins with a culinary bang at the Opening Gala Reception (7:00pm on the 13th), where twenty talented chefs and an equal number of notable wineries will be serving their creations and libations. Look for familiar faces like Jody Adams, Nicole Coady, Jose Duarte, William Kovel, Michael Leviton, Dante de Magistris, Jay Murray, Susan Regis, Mark Sapienza, Jeremy Sewall, Lydia Shire, Robert Sisca, Jasper White and GBH’s own Ming Tsai. The rest of the food-focused entertainment in the three-day-long extravaganza – including a wine auction, a special edition farmer’s market and an educational afternoon of seminars – culminates with the Artisan Taste. Spread out over two Saturday afternoon sessions (12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-8:00pm), Artisan Taste include samples from craft purveyors and wineries, cookbook signings and BostonChefs.com-sponsored cooking demos on the super fancy Sub-Zero and Wolf Celebrity Cooking Stage. Check the schedule to be sure you catch Barbara Lynch, Andy Husbands, Rich Garcia, Peter Davis and Frank McClelland, among others. It’ll be a whirlwind of culinary activity.
