European Wine Tasting in Westwood

Tour the wines of Europe like a college kid – without the backpack and the Eurail pass – at Chiara. On Wednesday, June 20th, the Westwood bistro invites wine drinkers to drop by anytime between 6:00 and 8:00pm to sip their way through five of Europe’s wine-producing regions. The tasting, led by Matt Carroll from Medfield Wine Shoppe, is free of charge. Pit stops include Portugal (2011 Vinho Verde, Las Lilas), Austria (2011 Grüner Veltliner, Brunn), France (2010 Chablis, Servin Pargues and 2011 Rosé, Mourgues du Gres), Italy (2010 Aglianico, Arcos) and Spain (2009 Ribera del Duero, Teon). Chef Steve LaCount will provide light hors d’oeuvres, but if you’d like to stick around for dinner (in their nicely air conditioned dining room), give them a call at 781.461.8118.
