Cotuit Classes for the Aspiring Cook

If you listed “learn to cook” on your New Year’s resolutions list, you’re in luck – Weldon Fizell offers two types of cooking classes to kick off the new year at Regatta of Cotuit. Sign on for one of his Saturday morning (11:00am to 1:00pm) tutorials to get a hands-on lesson covering a cornucopia of topics from soups (January 14th) to sauces (January 28th) to sweets (February 4th) for $50 per person. If you’re looking for something more intensive, try signing on for the five week cooking series, which takes students from hors d’oeuvres to desserts. Classes run on successive Tuesdays starting on Tuesday, February 21st (skipping February 28th) and culminate with a student-prepared four-course dinner on March 27th to which each student will be allowed to bring a guest. The entire series costs $300 per person, including the last dinner for you and your guest. There are only eight spots available for these intimate sessions which run from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Call 508.428.5715 if you want one of the coveted slots.
