Mare Oyster Bar Set to Open

Restaurateur Frank DePasquale is ready to debut his new North End concept, Mare Oyster Bar, on Friday, February 10th. The bivalve haven, which replaces seafood-focused Mare Natural Coastal Italian, still has chef Greg Jordan at the helm but sports a new menu and a redesigned dining room. Diners can toss back oysters from near and far at the new bar (which seats six to eight people) or choose from the full menu, which will offer all sorts of seafood – shrimp, crab, octopus and lobster – as well as hormone-free beef, free-range chicken, organic and locally-grown vegetables, and house-made pasta dishes and desserts. The wine list is still heavy on organic wines but they’ve added inventive cocktails and broadened their beer selection. The LED lighting is gone and they’ve added a TV for game-watching. Be among the first to check it out – call 617.723.6273 for reservations, or just drop by.
