Winter is practically upon us - what better time to get cozy by the fire at one of chef-owner Jim Solomon's Fireside Chats, the bi-monthly tasting series at The Fireplace. If you, too have a compelling urge to get together and talk about wines, beers, spirits and artisanal specialties from in and around New England, then save yourself a seat on the first and third Saturday of the month (roughly). Solomon has announced the winter schedule so you can plan ahead. Not only will the kitchen be sending out delicious meals to pair with each Chat's featured drink, but they'll also welcome an assortment of producers and aficionados to educate eager patrons. These tastings, which take place from 3:00 to 4:15pm, generally range in price from $25 to $30 but individual prices may vary, so peruse the list below, pick your poison and call 617.975.1900 to reserve a spot.
