New England Takes the Lamb Jam Masters

Clay Williams for the James Beard Foundation

Another year, another New England champ at the Lamb Jam Masters. For the finale of the country-wide competitions, the winners from the Washington D.C., Seattle, Austin and Boston Lamb Jams brought their crowning dishes to the table in New York City for the ultimate taste-off. Portland, Maine’s The Honey Paw represented Boston, having won Best in Show, Best Asian and People’s Choice at the local April Lamb Jam with their smoked lamb khao soi. Last year’s Lamb Jam Master Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks and Tiger Mama also made an appearance, this time at the judge’s table. Honey Paw’s chef Thomas Pisha-Duffly and team took home the golden lamb and are dedicating their $1000 donation to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, focused on ending childhood hunger.
