Journeyman heats up with a new a la carte concept in the Union Square space. Chefs Tse Wei Lim, Diana Kudajarova and Tru Lang renovated the kitchen, replacing the stoves with a wood-fired grill that will bring the menu back to the basics. In addition to Journeyman’s signature tasting menu, now available Thursday through Sunday evenings, the restaurant welcomes Heat, a casual-leaning sister restaurant that will serve diners with an a la carte menu Mondays through Wednesdays. Both concepts will focus on fire-cooked eats, like whole-roasted chicken with ramp butter and grilled rutabaga with ash vinegar broth. Swing by the restaurant Monday through Wednesday evenings from 6:00-10:00pm for a taste of Heat, or make a reservation for the Journeyman tasting menu Thursday through Sunday from 5:30-10:30pm.
