Chef Brian Alberg of the Red Lion Inn has a new project in the works: Eat & Drink Kitchen & Bar at the super swanky, soon-to-open Hotel on North in Pittsfield. Located in two 1880s buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel displays its dedication to local craftsmanship from top to bottom – from the room furnishings (restored architectural features and furniture crafted by local artisans) to the minibar (stocked with Berkshire-made products). And then there’s the kitchen. Alberg and chef de cuisine Sean Corcoran will serving a menu showcasing the bounty of local farms, including whole-roasted duck, lamb or pork available to order for parties of four or more. At the Drink Bar, you can sip on a specialty cocktail or craft beer, or get your caffeine fix with cold brew coffee from West Stockbridge’s No. Six Depot.
